minoxidil shedding after just one week of use normal?

ok Hi I have been using minoxidil 5% for one week now once a day on my temples about .25ml for each temple or a little less and already my hair in this area seems thinner and i know im shedding due to this. Im also thinning in surrounding areas where i apply mainly the very front area where im not rceding u know that patch like area..is this normal?..to shed from minoxidil so soon after using ..or should i quit now?..if its a good sign thn i'l lconinue but if its not..i mean i know u should shed but after only one week?..is that nromal..I know its from the minoxidil too..im just hoping the hairs will grow back if i do quit or even if i odnt..thanks for any help espericned minx users can offer..

Yes, its normal. It made me shed the 1st week and lasted for 3-4 weeks I believe.

Yes don't worry about it, I shed after about two weeks as well. During the first two months of a treatments such as minoxidl shedding is expected.

Now those who shed after the first week of applying minoxidil when do they start to regrow what was shed?

keep in mind I began shedding even after the 3rd day use and im only using once a day..is that normal?..Im hoping since im shedding so soon im more likely to havegood rsults in regrowth ..im a norwood 2.5-3 so i need em..but my daily fallout hasnt increased much being im onl using .25ml on the rceding parts with vellous hairs and peach hairs..but i noticed that those areas have less hair now...

on your question it totally depends on how your body responds to the minoxidil...i have seen some people on this site talk about results in 2 months while others that have been on it 6-8 months and have seen no results.I think it was niles who said he saw results at 2 months point but then you got x50 who was on it for around 10 months i believe,shed all the time and saw no results.

Just to clarify X50 said he was on it for 10 weeks once, not 10 months with persistant shedding.

Hey did this x50 guy ever grow back the hair he shed after 10 weeks?...Im losing mainly vellous hairs and some terminals im just hoping they grow back even if i quit minoxidil...and espically if i coninue..have there ever beeen people who just shed on minoxidil and never get regrowth?
