Thats right. With out naming names,or companies.Purely by accident at a pharmacudical report on trial drugs disscusion in 1997 a scientest was quoted mumbling a cure for male pattern baldness and hush money from the Clinton white house the scientist was asked to leave the room and returned 1 hour later and when asked what he was saying said "my comment were an ill fated attempt at humor, and I regret if I have offended anyone" His manner, and the mood of the room was like the stuff out of a thriller movie.Mysteriously this doctor retired immedietely this ordeal.I have heard nothing about this incedent ever since.I hope Bill Clinton wasn't involved,I voted for him.

sh*t, do you know the doctors name?Yeah clinton wouldnt really care about a cure seeing as he had nice hair at his ripe age..damnit I kinda of hope the doctor was joking because if he wasnt that could mean a cure is out there a he is being silenced through a large governmental conspiracy funded through pharmaceutical companies...

IT is true. The government does know of a complete cure for baldness but can't yet release it because it is based on technology garnered from contact with extraterrestrials. It is a sort of black oil that is dripped into the eyes, and results in a complete revitalization of male pattern baldness back to teenage status. The only problem is that once the treatment is begun, you will soon start growing an alien colonizer fetus in your abdomen... damn those nasty side effects.

We simply brought a little reality check to the proponents of unproven products. We asked for some solid facts and evidence to back up their claims about their "results", and they got angry with us. We also removed a lot of off topic posts from the same people, who seem to just participate here to make fun of those who like clinical data and sticking to the topic. Nobody has been banned.

JtL, I could not agree more. Humankind can put a man on the moon, can split the atom for energy, can genetically modify christmas trees to make them glow in the dark, can come up with medications that practically reduce the level of HIV virus in HIV sufferers to non-existent levels, can practically eliminate polio and can transplant hearts, lungs, livers, and kidneys from person to person... but they can't come up with a f*****g treatment for the common cold, male baldness, or come up with a damned fax machine that reliably faxes documents that are over 20 pages. 20 pages is the magic number. I cannot tell you the number of times where I have sent a 20 page document, only to have the damned machine tell me "18 pages sent successfully". Damned priorities are all wrong.

i thiink that they do have a cure for male pattern baldness, aids and even cancer, but will never release that type of info. to the public, think about how many company's would be out of the mix, and how many jobs would be lost.

they have made cars that run on water, but if they put them out the oil co's. would be gone, gas stations ect.

they coverup a lot of things that we do not know about..

How true. Did you all know that LA once had a very extensive trolley system that ran all through the city and even to neighboring suburban areas? It was shut down in the early 60's by a phoney consortium funded by oil companies. Fact.

Anyway, back to the subject:

If a complete cure for hairloss was ever found, the money to be made in that market would seriously sky-rocket into a billion dollar industry. There would never be a reason to keep it silent, so stop being paranoid.

Hair loss is already a billion dollar industry. And while I doubt the facts behind this story I do see the point. This would make one manufacturer the beneficiary of the cure. No more money for merck and upjohn. But I seriously doubt this ever happened.

Any facts on this or are you just speculating?

Actually, the number of "cures" vs the number of medical conditions that MAN is subject to is extremely small (count them on hands and feet). Most diseases that are cured are actually cured by our own immune system.

Almost all meds actually only treat disease, not cure it and normally must be taken for a lifetime, just like male pattern baldness meds.

So, why is male pattern baldness supposed to be different than say cancer, which has been the subject of billions of research and still, only treatment.

I think the conspiracy theory on this does not stand up to logic.\

See, here's the thing about that. I do think this holds some weight, by the way.

Neither Propecia or Rogaine have sold particuarly well. If there was a "cure," the level of, say, Accutane, something that got some level of results from EVERYONE, even those who have been bald for years, that sh*t would sell like wild fire.
