Mirrors Vs Pictures Vs Videos???????

There has always been this aggravating evolution (de-evolution?) of my personal perception when dealing with some sort of reflection.
Im not sure what it is, except maybe the subtle nuances your eyes and brain pic up on but why is it when you look into a mirror and you are primping you can actually say "Im decently content with what I see".
Is it because you are actively/intentionaly only looking at your "good side"?
Then you can look at photos and 9 out of 10 you want to burn from existence.
The worst though seems to be video. This Thanksgiving I was out and some family of family of family etc etc was there and there was one female. She started taking video of me. I was just so disgusted with how I look in video. It seems no matter what video Im looking at I just look awful. Even after the procedure its not like my hairline was unnaturally lowered to something considered acceptable. All the worst traits seem to show up on video. I find this off because I can literally take a front video or use the front camera on my phone as a mirror and be disgusted with what I see yet the same view in an actual mirror I find no where as appalling.

Actually I look terrible on video. Not even to do with hair loss although that doesn't help. My face looks super bloated and I notice how asymmetrical my mouth is. Legit look ugly as f*** lol. Pictures I can look good in with a good angle + a hat.

Mirror is always what I look the best in. Hell I even feel good looking sometimes when I look into the mirror but the pics/ videos shatter that fantasy.

Sometimes i look good in mirrors, sometimes sh*t, sometimes i look 6/10 in photos, sometimes i look 3/10 in photos.

I'm probably like 4-5/10 irl.

Videos always a killer. You see what others 'see' and not the 2d inage a mirror projects.

Imperfections you see in mirror become hightened when you reliase your 3d proportions aint as good as you thought.

Its almost like hearing your voice on a recording versus hearing it with your own ears...

thats hysterical because Im like that when I sing. In this new project Im working on me and the other guy swap off or sing together and whenever I hear my voice I cringe but hes like "man you sound fine whats the problem"

Hes actually a pretty well trained sound guy so he explained the reasoning behind why we feel that way but lord know I pay attention like a 3rd grader and already forgot why.
