I've been doing a lot of research on various topical chemicals and oils as i'm interested in making my own scalp/skin solutions and i've seen a few sources warning not to mix carrier oils like castor/emu oil with minoxidil or it can compromise its effectiveness, and that you should wait 8 hours after applying minoxidil.
Anyone know why? Emu oil is a great topical that penetrates all 7 dermal layers of the skin. I would think using emu oil following minoxidil would make it absorb better. Can you not just mix it directly into a minoxidil solution? What about a topical finasteride solution? Or would that just nullify effectiveness completely..
