i have read on here that the dht type 2 enzyme is 80% or so blocked by finasteride. what other uses does our body have for that type 2 dht? and other than hair growth, what does it effect when our body is no longer getting it?

it's mostly for gentialia development during puberty. there's even a group of people who genetically don't have this enzyme II and seem to live fine. whereas with type I (blocked by dutasteride), no one is 100% sure yet.

If someone is 17 and they start finasteride, does this mean that his manhood will not longer be able to grow?

chances are, if you are 17 and losing hair, your body is done growing... plus penis grows mostly finishes up early in puberty, it does not continue to grow along with height and other body structure as much
