hey everyone

just wanted to lpost about my big 3 success thus far

i started out on the big 3 in october 05 and have kep to it religiously since then

i use %5 kirkland minoxidil but started out on regaine, but because kirkland is so cheap and its no different i switched 3 months into treatment.i take 1.25mg of finasteride(proscar) a day and use nizoral 2% about twice a week.

the first 2 weeks i noticed a significant stop in shedding then basically shed from month 2 til, well til now actually, but like others say all the time ive been shedding my hair has been getting thicker.i had/have temple recession and miniaturised hair on the crown and mid section.since i started treatment i have seen a significant amount of longer thicker hairs replace miniaturised ones, however it tends to come in waifs and strays,i thought it might come in all at once ,then cycle over and over til it was back to 'normal' hair, but it seems like it doesnt work like that, its almost one hair at a time,or at least a few at a time, but it IS coming back stronger/thicker and longer.i have read similar stories to mine and i have to agree, whilst i have seen improvement,i really do think that when i get to one year/15months this is when i will really start to see progress.

the minoxidil has brought in many vellus hairs along my hairline ,not quite sure if theyll go terminal but i may add to the regimen after a year /15 months.

this might not be a complete success story yet but i really wanted to say how if you have doubts or are freaking out about your hair and think you wanna jump ship DONT! the big three work, give them time and be patient,at times i hadnt noticed improvement but id get comments like 'have you dyed your hair? it looks a lot darker'

if things carry on liek this i fully expect to post back in 3 or 4 months with further success

my main point is ,stick with it and ride out the sheds and the times it looks like sh*t,it gets worse before it gets better but its DEFINITELY worth it.

i first noticed improvement about 3 months in but then shed a lot so it looked to be below baseline, but it keeps shedding and returning thicker every so often .
