Hey Guys.

I hope some of you could give me a good advice on this.

It just started taking Propecia (fincar) for 3 days ago. Already at day 2 my balls started to hurt (ball ache?), but it come and goes still on day 3. I have searched for similar problems, but the response is very different.

What is you advice on this? should I stop, or just give it more days and wait for it to get over? The pain is not that big, but you guys know how it feels like, just the feeling that something is happen to you balls is a bit frightening. And the feeling is indeed real, and i'm en general very calm about taking the drug, but only side effect so far is my balls response.

What should I do?

Hey, I didn't get ball ache but ejaculate was almost painful. Like having a pee that hurts, not too bad but hardly pleasurable. I didnt get the ballache but i have read ppl that get it. Maybe give it a few days and then lower ur dose a fraction and see if it helps. But if continues over weeks maybe stop altogether. I had to stop cos i didnt want it to become permanent!

That sounds bad, man. I hope it's better for you now. Mine is nothing like that though, it's just like my balls react to this stuff, and it sometime feels like they are having a electric shock. The feeling is a bit weird.

I will give it some time still, but could be really nice to hear from other people who have experienced the same thing or something familiar?

Thanks.. good to know.

Anybody know if finasteride could ruin the chance to have kids some day?

...and a few weeks isn't long enough to become permanent, that takes some months of use n sides. Fingers crossed for you mate.

Got it exactly the same mate. See my posts. Mine subsided after a couple of weeks but does still come and go but nowhere as bad as when I first started. It is a bit worrying as you know it is making changes down there.

This is one of the most common initial side effects. I had it for about a week or so and then it went.

Interestingly, I was reading the Propecia leaflet which comes with the tablets earlier tonight. I have read it before but I never recalled seeing that it can affect fertility in men who already have issues with fertility, but the long term effects of finasteride on fertility are not known.
