My Battle With Hair Loss Since 2009

hello hairlosstalk forum,
My name is Alex I had been dealing with hair loss since I was 18 years old and that's when I first hop on to the finasteride started with 0.50MG (cut the 1MG in half) that was in 2009 .
By 2011 I stopped the treatment for almost 6 months due to the drug was expensive for me at that time as I was young and broke then of course i had to go back to it as my doctor( started shredding and got scared ) and precripted me genetic 5MG for 1/10 of the price.
Fast forward to 2017 and I think I kept most of my hair but I had been shredding a lot lately ,hopefully it would stable soon! I got some picture as most people would like to see picture rather than reading lol!

First two is from 2009
Third one is from 2011
Last two is 2017

Thanks ! I do uses nizoral shampoo as my daily shampoo! I tried minoxidil before and it made my hair feel so sticky and weird feeling?,I guess that's the way it works . After couple month of using it I didn't see much of a difference so I just stopped completely . Do you think I should hop back to minoxidil daily?

Yes. It takes six months to evaluate!

Quick question actually as now it's been 2 month since I switched to the generic 5MG ( 1.25 mg each day) . I noticed increased in shedding and now I can see my crown around has been thinning out more . I don't know if it's the increasing in mg as I was on 0.5MG before or my hair loss is getting worst?. Thanks !

Most likely a shed from upping your daily dosage and most likely temporary and your hair will grow back.

Thanks jetlife1 for the quick reply !. I hope so as I never had this much shed or hair loss since I taken the drug. I'm still deciding if I should add minoxidil 5% to my regimen.
