Guys,

For the past couple of months (and especially the last week), I have been shedding hair like crazy. Yesterday, I shampooed my hair in the sink, and there were at least 100 hairs. A lot of strong terminal hairs, but also some vellus hairs (thinning from the tip to root -- which should be a good sign, no?).

I've been taking finasteride (1 mg) for the past 3+ years and I started 0.25 mg Arimidex (an anti-aromatase inhibitor -- lowers my elevated estrogen) every-other-day about 3 weeks ago. I've also been taking Mega-Men multivitamins (they contain saw palmetto) for the past month.

I have been on finasteride for 3+ years and have _never_ encountered a shed/loss this dramatic. I have no idea what's going on.

Enlighten me, brothers.

D.

I dont wanna scare you but I have heard of aniti e's causing hair loss. See, when it comes to altering hormones your playing with fire. I take Propecia, so I am not gonna tell anyone not to take it but you gotta realize that playing with your hormones is VERY seroius business and isnt comparrible to plucking eyebrow hairs or taking aspirin. It causes wierd side effects.

I think when a person has to start taking other drugs to combat side effects from other drugs they are taking, it might be time to say, "Ok, thats enough for me." I will be very ready too drop Propecia at the first sign of any negative efftects. Just recently I have started to feel some pains in my left chest. I'm trying to pin point where its coming from but if it continues or I start to recognize gyno, I am stopping the medication immedialty! Maybe you should consider doing the same, for health reasons. There could always be the oppurtunity to restart Propecia once you have "normalized" and your body has a chance to run on its own accord.

later.
best of luck.
