Im 19. Have recession in the temples.

Have been on ppg free minoxidil for 1 1/2 months (2x per day) - No sheds, No irriatation,No problems. Some new vellus hairs, no dramatic change though.

Propecia 1mg per day 1 1/2 months - Alot worse than expexted.
Sex drive: still think about sex, still want sex, but limp flacid penis. Even when watching p**rn tryin to jerkoff, it is tough.
Other unexpected sides: pain while urinating, pain when jerking, painful ejaculation. Also penis seems to leak white fluid randomlly.(what the Fvck is that?)

I know that you have to give propecia some time, but i cannot stand these sides for 6 or more months. I want to stay on but everyday seems worse and worse. I might try 0.5mg instead of 1mg, is this a good idea?
Are these sides normal, or should i discontinue use? Any help greatly appreciated.

switch propecia for topical spironolactone, or do what i did, crush the tabs & put them in your minoxidil!

Topical fina? would it be solouble in minoxidil? I just want to know if these sides will ease off, continue the same,or get worse. I have 3 more months worth of propecia and I really want to use the stuff.

side note: what % of DHT does topical spironolactone block? How much has to be applied daily? i assume you have to put it over your ENTIRE scalp rather that just the problem areas, right?

Can someone direct me to a fina-less regimen. Maybe I should save the fina until im a bit older, any thoughts? (maybe that why im haveing more than average sides) any insight appreciated.
thanks!

Yes, i crushed 7 x 5mg tabs of finasteride into my 5% minoxidil just the other day. Crushed them into a fine powder 1st, then they dissolved in the minoxidil. There is some evidence this works, but no guarantee.

spironolactone is an anti-androgen, it works against all andgrogens not only dht, do some research! It would be applied to the affected areas, just like you apply minoxidil.

Nobody knows!

If your having sexual sides already be careful, maybe they will subside, maybe not...hopefully some of the regs here can help you some more!

Im going to try 0.5mg for the next few weeks. I would like to know how other young fina users are managing.
