My derm scarred me

Ok i knew that living in small ex-communist country sucks but not like this

So i went to derm few days ago about my hairloss problem. I'm 25 years old with visable hair loss frontal and little on the crow. So i've told her about things like propecia, rogaine and nizoral.

She freaked me out about propecia... If you thinking about reproduction don't take that thing.. Can really propecia case sterility?? I don't really care about the impotence stuff because i'm hardcore cigarette smoker and weed so the sides are similar like propecia. But not having kids it's really bad thing i guess. She also don't have nice words for rogaine (hard to get good result), and she told me that i'm not for nizoral.

Well she ripped me off 50 euros and she give me some b vitamins and zink to take, and topical called Keramine H which have things like Ginkgo biloba, salvia scalerea and other plants.

P.S I'm planing to take propecia 0.25 4 times a week and 0.50 3 times a week

i suggest just taking 1mg/day of finasteride, the standard dosage.

i remember when i went for my first derm appointment i told the guy how i was scared of sides and might start with .25 or .5mg/day. he recommended i take the regular dosage for a week and see what happens. i'm glad i took his advice.

the far majority of people don't experience sides, myself included. and plenty of people have had healthy kids after being on finasteride for years.

There was study showing that those smaller doses have similar effect on scalp DHT and the serum one wasn't so low, which means similar result less chances for sides. Yes by far i haven't seen any study showing that finasteride can cause sterility, i was really surprised from my derm. I guess FDA aren't that crazy to let product on the market to have side effect like that.

Sad but true

I'm one week on propecia 0.25 last 3 days taking 0.50 but today seems that my body don't have "contact with my penis" huh strange but got sides in about one week?

Yes I and a percentage of others with bad side effects had this happen... it never got better.

You can either ride it out and hope it does, or quit.

Bad Propecia seems to be the most effective treatment and the easiest one. I guess hardcore topical regime will be pain for people with long hair like me. But ok i guess the next step shoud be topical spironolactone/flut/ru?? Which ones can actually keep your hair and thick it??

Hey mate really sorry to hear that Propecia is giving you that side effect from what I've seen on here and people have said if you exp these kind of sides get off it ASAP don't ride it out otherwise it wont get better when you stop.

This morning was better than last night, i've freaked out will back on 0.25 dose until sep/oct when i have plans to get RU. I hope the sides don't get worse

2 1/2 weeks on finasteride, tender breast, no energy for me. I was trying to help expedite my hair transplant recovery, but I'll take the scenic route and keep my dick. That stuff is poison in my opinion
