So exactly a week ago I took the two hour drive to London to visit The Belgravia Centre, once I got there I saw a lot of people, kind of made me think a little bit more positive that I'm not alone..
So once I get called in a woman takes a look at my hair and takes photos etc, explains what DHT is (like I hadn't already looked any of this up lmao), and we concluded that, yeah, my hairline has started to receed; https://www.hairlosstalk.com/interact/threads/im-19-i-really-need-your-help-guys.107434, and she then said my best options were finasteride and minoxidil, then explained the potential side effects etc, she then guided me to the waiting room where another room would see my to discuss payment options etc. About 10 minutes later I'm called into the room and she sympathizes me by saying "I'm really sorry you're have to deal with this at such a young age, but rest assured we can help!", she then loads up a spreadsheet on the projector and guides me the through payment, in total it would cost 1480 GBP/year for my finasteride and minoxidil, which really hit me in the stomach; thinking I was going to have to fork out a lot of my wages just to fix my hair
, I'm about to start uni so a huge payment like that would really set me back sadly.
She then offered payment options which seemed great, she then goes onto to say "Well, which payment options would you like?", I explained I can't choose any today as I needed to wait until I got paid (which is true, but I also wanted to think about all of this before jumping), she seemed surprised and asked me if I could even pay a deposit, which I really didn't want to do; I wanted to think over things, so I politely said I really can't until I get paid, to which she replies "Well call us when you get paid then, take care." and guided me out of the building.
It really disappointed me, while I get they need to make money, it made me feel like the ONLY thing they gave a damn about was me paying them, which is not a great approach in my opinion.
So my question to you guys..
What should I do? Do I get treatment through them or should I get the finasteride and minoxidil myself? And if so, WHERE FROM?
I really appreciate you reading this, thank you!
