My hair loss story is kind of strange

I always had very think hair my entire life. I never had any problems with losing it but I did always have a pretty strong widows peak. So I ended up finishing my Hepatitis C anti viral medication in August. I had no side effects whatsoever so I was pretty happy. The same time I finished I ended up getting thrown in jail for a DUI. I work a lot of hours and I live a pretty stressful life. Well like a month or 2 after all this happened my hair just started falling out like crazy. Like straight shedding. So much that I was alerted immediately because it was just all falling out and started to look way unhealthy. I am 34 so I know it could fall out eventually. The fact that I never had any sign at all and then all of a sudden hair starts pouring out my head 2 months after I get done with the medication and all of these stressful events occurring. I still have plenty of hair in the front but just kind of thinned a lot. Here's some pictures. Do stressful events cause hairloss? I've lost more hair in the past 2 months then I ever have my entire life.

My dermatologist ended up giving me some Nutrafol but I am very weary that it even works.

It’s just age and genetics. Unless you have consistent, sustained, top 1% stress bad enough to completely f*** your system, it’s not the reason. Unless you cant eat, can’t sleep, are having nervous breakdowns, and the like it isn’t the cause. The misconception here is the same as those who think it’s their diet without understanding that it refers to chronic, sustained, malnutrition. These events have to be strong enough to literally reshape your body’s biological processes...

Stress, Telogen Effluvium, and diet are cope mechanisms one, two, and threein the denial phase...the sooner you move past this, the sooner you can figure out what to do about it. once hair loss starts you don’t have a whole lot of time before it becomes too late to do much other than look like a balding guy vs a bald guy.
