I've browsed this site off and on for a few years and finally decided to post what I've experienced.

I started losing hair at about 30 (I'm 44 now). Eventually I found a doctor to prescribe some proscar being its cheaper and basically the same as the name brand.
That mostly stopped my loss but not without the help of minoxidil. Recently, I started doing Apple Cider Vinegar and completely stopped using minoxidil. This last 5 months has been very effective though I still take a little bit of finasteride but not nearly as much as prescribed. For me, this ACV has been great.

I started using it topically twice a week for a month or so and then once a week after that since.

What has been your experience? have you seen regrowth? How and how often do you apply?

Ive read it helps on earthclinic, but usually the testimonials end at "my hair stopped shedding", "I see vellus hairs", but never any follow up or description of increased density, terminal hairs etc.

The same goes for onion juice, there's a pretty amazing video on youtube showing a man's recovery of hair. I have zero interest in onion juice. ACV on the other hand im willing to try.

Please share any and all info you've experienced.

Also, do you apply it full strength or diluted? Many say they use it as a rinse in the shower, or do you leave it on?...

why do you think the ACV is helping? what mechanism? had you read about it somewhere?

i used acv to cure toe nail fungus that nothing else worked on ! ketocobazole shampoo also works as an antifungal ? maybe similar mode of action ?

I have been using ACV for about 4 days, i wash my hair with it every night and leave it on for 15 mins and then rinse it off with water. I do see my hair shedding stopped to 10 to 15 hair a day.
Before that i used ZIX for a month which made my hair dried and making them shed when comb or apply zix with dropper. when i was using zix i was shedding 50 to 80 hair everyday. now that i started using ACV i do see improvement.
