I have noticed that my mother may be losing her hair.
She's 58 years old, and I've attached a couple of pictures of what I see and have a couple questions.
1.)Is this normal hair for a woman her age (58)?
2.)What is the problem? (Female pattern baldness, thinning of hair, etc.)
3.)What are the chances that it spreads to other parts of the head or gets worse in the next couple of years.
4.)Is it normal to see the scalp more so in direct light then in areas where the light may not be as great. For example: You can see the scalp in the pictures below better (because of the flash) in the photo then in person.
5.)Not sure why but I noticed a couple of hairs on her head aren't straight, but rather fine and wavy. Is this a sign of anything?
6. What does her hair look like overall?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
