Here is a diagram I made of my regimen. I am a little concerned currently with itchy scalp but it's tolerable and I don't scratch. I'm not sure about the days without shampoo when I simply rinse with water, but right now it's the best I can come up with as to not overdry or overshampoo my scalp.

I keep my hair short by using clippers with a #1 attachment, so I don't have any styling concerns.

Please comment, thank you!

that is a cheap regimen that covers most of the basics. it is better than what some people are using, but then some people can get by on propecia alone.

thanks,

what do you think i should add, if anything?

my BIGGEST annoyance is the random itch sensations .. I'm not sure if they're being caused by over-shampooing/dry scalp.

I never use a conditioner because I feel I might 'throw off' the balance of my scalp health.

I'm JUST TRYING TO OBTAIN/MAINTAIN SOME SORT OF HOMEOSTASIS ON MY SCALP!

when you say you lather nizoral for 5 minutes, do you mean that you are actively rubbing the shampoo into the scalp for 5 minutes, or that you let it sit for 5?

I rub it in for a minute or so and then let it sit for 5 minutes personally.

Ive also got on best using T/Sal as a pre-wash to using Nizoral, rather than using the two on seperate days. I currently use T/Sal and Nizoral on Sundays and Wednesdays and Lock Stock and Barrell thickening shampoo on the other days. Seems to suit me pretty good.

Actually I think I'm going to modify my shampoo and do it the same way;

T/Sal for a few minutes (I rub it in then let it sit for 4-5 minutes), and follow up with Nizoral (lather and sit for the same time).. do that on Monday and Friday.

I'm not sure if I'm missing anything else, maybe I should use a gentle clarifying shampoo on the other days?

i pre-wash with baby shampoo, and my hair feels wonderful after a Nizoral shower. love running my hand through it.

I don't have any before and after pictures. Proscar 1.25mg stopped my hair loss. I don't think I regrew any.

I might post some before and after photos in the surgical section.

I have not been on this regimen that long. I am just posting the stuff I learned recently on this board and on the net. I don't know what my regimen will do, but from what I read, i think it will be very strong.

i used to push folligen. Now I think the AC spray is better because it is the same as tricomin but more concentrated and half the price.

I'll alternate folligen and AC spray just incase one complex is better than the other, but I think the tri-amino is important because it is the one tested in FDA trials, and is the one that preserved cat hair.

AC is stronger than tricomin? I thougth no one knew the strength of cps in tricomin once it was diluted, and no one had any clue about AC's strength of cps. How do we know AC is stronger?

Also, folligen is very different to tricomin, so we don't know which is "better"

but we do have solid evidence that the peptides used in tricomin encourage hair growth. we have no such evidence for folligen, just that it also contains some copper peptides. if the individual peptide type itself is important then folligen could be no use at all.

yeah, yeah, I agree. would someone please look at the AC spray and Tricomin ingredients I posted in the experimental section and tell me if they agree it looks like the AC spray has more?

Felk,

Bryan got an email from the tricomin people saying it is between 1.5 and 2.25%, the doses tested in the trials, but closer to the top one.

I don't know AC is stronger, it just has the same CP's closer to the top of the ingredient list. maybe they use more water and less of the other stuff.

I think I can test that, if I buy a bottle of tricomin. The CPs will have one peak and the dye a different peak in the visible spectrum. I just need some copper2 to from the chemical cabinet to see which is which and make a standard.

i'll do that if someone mails me half an ounce of tricomin. i'll buy the AC spray. Better yet, i'll test the AC spray and you guys can decide if bryan was given the truth in that email or a lie.

it is just my luck though that the reason they put the dye in there is so you can't test it. I wonder if the pure copper peptides are the same color as the dye. UV spectroscopy would not help unless it is a different color. i'll test the AC spray first. If I two peaks near the grean/blue, or if the standart solution looks different than the tricomin color, then i will ask for the tricomin sample and report the AC concentration.
