I stumbled across this site and was amazed at how many of the posts I read I can relate to! Seemed like I was reading my own thoughts!!!

Yeah...I am an unfortunate victim of p---poor genetics---cursed by the poor choices of others. I have suffered with hair loss all my life (mid 30's now)..I have attempted suicide twice due to this...it is so depressing and embarassing....life is not fair at all!!!

I am wondering what age you other guys 1st noticed you had this curse? (Me...early 20's)

I also am very thin...no diets, exercises, protein supplements, any of that ever corrected the joke Mother Nature played upon me!!!

I decided at a young age to NEVER marry or have kids due to these issues and thankfully, I have kept my word on that! The buck stops here...jush wish my parents could have been as thoughtful...I had rather been aborted or never born than to suffer thru this miserable existence of a gift they call life...........

Get some hair transplants, get on a bunch of topical treatments, take a internal DHT inhibitor, eat alof of protein, work out, take HGH. Report back.

Hair transplants??? Are you kidding??? The expense, coupled with the horror stories I have seen and heard...is like driving a new car off a bridge because you dislike the song on the radio..........

Are you kidding man? I agree about the expense, but nowdays going to do a hair transplat with a top surgeon means to have a really high percentage of getting a goood job. Horror stories belong to the past.
Take a tour in the "surgical alternatives" section of this forum and you will see with your eyes how surgeons like Hansson and Armani work.

*Sigh*

I know how you feel. Except, I don't agree with a few of the things your saying.

I wouldn't contemplate suicide because of my hair loss.

And I wouldn't shut myself off from forming relationships with people because of it.

I'm not even 18 yet and i'm a NW3, who still gets by.

Have you tried buzzing/shaving your hair?

Also, start working out. It's fun and makes you feel better, especially if your arms etc feel sore afterwards, god I love that feeling.

Be careful here, there are a lot of misguided and biased posters. As an old baldy (recovering like a miracle) I have seen it all. There are some fantastic advisors also though. Look up Aplunk for starters, great advice and sense of humour. My advice, don't go for a transplant so young, it won't last.

So, what is 10 years to us oldies?

I don' t think he is so young that a transplant won' t last. He said he began balding in his early twenties and now he is about 35 so i think his age is perfect for a transplant. The point is that "Lifesucks" is scared by horror stories about transplants and this is pretty absurd in my opionion because nowdays hair transplant technique is not like 10 years ago when the results were often horrific.

Hi lifesucks,

welcome to the HairLossTalk.com forums. I'm sorry to hear you're upset.

I think most of us here can agree that hairloss has impacted our lives.

But the good news it that you CAN do something about it. Today, tomorrow, but the sooner the better.

The best thing you can provide the forums members is pictures of your hair, including pics of the FRONT, TOP, and CROWN.

The next thing to consider is a treatment plan. The most widely regarded, simple, and easy regimen includes:

1) Propecia (or Avodart)
2) Rogaine
3) Nizoral

The Big 3.

Do a little bit of research.

The hair transplant industry is VERY tricky... There is a handful of surgeons who can give you EXCELLENT, youthful results, but it requires a great bit of research.

In any case, your number one priority is to RESEARCH right now, and develop a regimen or plan that fits your lifestyle.

Goodluck my friend,

Look at those photos. Obviously the guy has talent. I went to Armani, I am pleased with what he did for me. His hairline wasn't perfect for me but I pulled a few grafts out and I can't wait until they all grow in. I will be looking good thanks to the man. A big fear of mine was how the incision would be, because I didn't want a horror story coming out cosmetic surgery. Well he did a great job on the incision, the scar will be practically invisible, it healed like a charm.

If you can't afford hair transplants that doens't mean you won't be able to do anything about your hairloss. I had a rather noticable bald spot three years ago at the front of my head, at the temple. I used to keep my hair longer right by it and comb it over. It was really embarassing. I took propecia and in time the hair filled in nicely. I wasn't happy with it, but I could style my hair so it looked okay. I then took some minoxidil, and it filled in even better, in just a couple of months. I told some friends I was thinking about getting hair transplants and they said they couldn't even see my hair loss. Well I got them anyway, which was a good idea because I got a puffy face from using minoxidil and I believe I have lost some but not all the hairs which I regrew.

Anyhow, it's been 4 months since I got hair transplants, and I am seeing little sprouts. It is really quite exciting. It cost me 7,200 Cdn dollars which was a reduced rate from Dr. Armani. He is not cheap, but he is good, as his photos attest.

Money may be a problem for you but do consider financing. Good hair breeds good looks and confidence, which will postively affect your ability to earn money. Think of it as an investment in yourself.

And a lot of chicks dig skinny guys, just look at Cone from Sum 41. Yes he's good looking too but my point is your physique probably should not be something to take so seriously that it makes you sad.

Antonio Alvi Armani, in my opinion, the best hair tranpslant surgeon.

some by no means all will have felt that they can't go on anymore.
I myself have had these thoughts from time to time due to my hairloss and it is something that i really struggle with,so i understand your situation but it seems to me you have give up the battle on hairloss without really starting any sort of regimen or considered transplants.
I've looked on hasson and wong website and am very impressed with the results, anyway what i am saying is it sounds like your really depressed, you must have been to try to kill yourself twice and i really feel for you.JUST KEEP GOING MATE ,BECAUSE IN UNDER5 YEARS THERE COULD BE TREATMENTS THAT GIVE YOU A FULL HEAD OF HAIR AGAIN.
