My success on the big three

Hi there, i wanted to share my positive experience with the big three!

First of all I started with minoxidil and Ket about 2 Years ago, at first it was great! I had some really really big regrow in hair and it got really thick. but the success didn't last very long, after a Year I started losing all the hair that minoxidil and ket helped me to regrow, i was hoping that it was just a shedding phase but it just didn't get any better...

So after a Year of serious hairloss I decided to give finasteride a chance. and I think the results speak for themselves! I'm for 4 Months now on finasteride and I'm already seeing some good regrow and had no sides whats or ever, just a "pulling" pain in my balls in the first week but it wasn't something that was unbearable, just had this feeling 3-4 times a day but even that went away in less then a week

yeah i'm also pretty pleased with the results for now. i kind of went from a "this guy has lost his hair"-situation to a "this guy is losing his hair"-situation

i hope to get it to the "is this guy losing his hair?"-situation

Congratulations Dude, well done. I wish you all the best going forward also. Just a quick question, did you experience any shedding at the start of taking finasteride?? If so how much & how long did it take to grow back?

actually i didn't notice any shedding since i started it.

there was a phase after ~2 Months where i had a feeling that the hair has gotten thinner a bit again. maybe that was a small shed that i had for like 1-2 weeks, cant really say.

right now i have a lot of small hairs all over my scalp, i really regret my choice of not starting finasteride back then with minoxidil...the minoxidil had filled up my head back then like crazy. it probably has a better "trigger"-impact on the hair when starting with it. but they weren't able to survive, now i'm hoping to get them back.

my advice would be to start with finasteride+ket at first and if you are looking for fast results all the three together.

your hair looks wet in the first pic? hair always look worse wet so difficult to say you have improved.

here is a pic from the same time when my hair was really bad (02.11.10) and before finasteride. on the first pic the hair is just a bit greasy, but that seems to happen really fast with finasteride hair:/

a small update:

overall the hair looks still the same since ~2-3 Months, but a week ago i noticed a shitload of really thin but colored small hairs! i'm really looking forward to see an improvement in the next 2-3 Months, if these new hairs are able to get darker and thicker.

Glad things are going well for you. Are you using 1% or 2% KET. How often do you use it? What is your shampooing and conditioning regimen. I'm allergic to PG and - in general terms - have a sensitive scalp - which was why I started on the 1% very recently (to supplement minoxidil and finasteride of many years).

The first time I used KET (1% in my case), I was amazed by how much thicker my fine hairs looked. Clearly, there was no new hair; just looked more - in the particular mirror, I was using. I have long hair, and the difference the shampoo makes to appearance can be great - or so I imagine!!

I use 2% KET Shampo like 3 up to 5 Times a Week.
It really depents on where i go and how I have to look. As you stated the hair looks much better after useing KET then with regular shampoo.

Maybe that's kind of interest for somebody, as far as 'sides' because of the finasteride use go. I'm noticing a very noticeable slower beard-grow for some time now.

usually i shaved my beard on Mondays to have a nice and tidy looking 'three-day beard'. Now i also get i nice result by Friday but it also looks almost pretty the same by the next Friday, which was an absolute no go before this 'side-effect' because i would look like a pope or something
