Hi guys.I live In Frankfurt Germany, and had immense trouble looking for a finesteride prescription.I am currently 23 and I have quite strong hair loss(diffuse thinning).I finally found a doctor who would prescribe me finesteride and he said if this works it would slow down my hairloss.

So with great hope,I brought the propecia pills and took them. However, about 1.5 hours after taking the pills I had itchy hives developing on my body and my faced swelled up.When I visited my doctor the next day he said it could be an allergic reaction and I need to stop finesteride immediatly.

When my hairloss started,I was extremely determined to fight it and keep as much hair as I could at least through my 20s and my greatest hope was finesteride. Now I'm allergic to it and I cannot take it.

I really wanna keep my hair and don't wanna lose without a fight. What are my options? Should i try dutasteride or will that be pointless or will I be allergic to that as well??

I really need your advice since I need to take action before I lose anymore hair and hair loss has thrown my confidence down the drain.

Did you take Propecia or generic? Propecia and generics have different fillers. Even the generics typically have different inactive ingredients from one another. You seem to have made up your mind about taking finasteride for awhile so this may be something that you can bring up to your doctor about trying another brand.

Yes that's what I was planning to ask my doctor and if that's the case then thank god
However,if it's finesteride I'm allergic to them I'm willing to switch to dutastetidr im that desperate to keep my hair

Have you tried Minoxidil? If you are lucky you might maintain until Breezula comes out.

Maybe take a couple of weeks break and then try Propecia again. Start w/ 0.25mg for a week, then .5 next week, .75 3rd werk, 1mg 4th week. This may help your body to adjust to it. If you have the same reaction at .25 then it's probably not for you. Dutasteride is a much more potent component and while it may work better there's also chances of sides. Also, I don't know that doctors in Germany will prescribe Duta for hair loss.
* I am not taking AAs so everything I tell you is based on conclusions drawn from reading.

I honestly I'm not scared of side effects so if it comes to it I'll definitely take duta however your right the prescription will be a problem I might have to get it online

Why won't Minoxidil do much? And we don't know how good CB will be. It might just have a short regrowth period followed by small decline and stable maintenance. You can see the same happen with Minoxidil: explosive growth followed by very slow decline. But Breezula might work even better.

Thats were Breezula comes in. You will be able to maintain your hair for 3-5 years with min if you are a responder. After that you can start using breezula to prolong the effects. But if you don't feel like using min, RU seems to be the only option.

There are many versions of finasteride. Start with a different brand and a lower dose. There's got to be something you can do. Stay calm, be smart. Ask professionals. They will be able to help you, I'm sure.
