I am using minoxidil for the past 2 years and itz not good for me , now i like to try Dutasteride 0.5mg. will it make any effect in me ?? can i use it with mnoxidil or can i stop using minoxidil while using Dutasteride 0.5mg. ?? please advice...
if its not worked after two years then its doubtful it will. i started with dutas every day and noticed a bit of reduction in libido, so i switched to eod and im fine now.whether you want to take it every day is upto you,i personally would start with that and then lower the dose if you get any sides.
the minoxidil is fighting an uphill battle. Adding dutasteride will help it finally gain ground. and you don't know it has been doing nothing. It may have just been maintaining. If it was maintaining, you will lose the hair it was maintaining. But it might be worth the loss to find out if it did anything, since you can grow it back, though I'd get on dutasteride first. If it is not doing anything, it would be nice not to have it in your hair.
