TLDR:

I recently concocted a formulation noted below. But I'm worried about the addition of solvents to the mixture. After testing today, I'm a little scared when applying it (mostly due to my addition of DMSO and DMI) and I have a feeling I may be doing something bad due to lack of knowledge. After I apply it I feel a little funny (almost a little high, with a weird sensation on my scalp that I haven't felt before, and it feels like the solution may have weakened some hairs). I want to pass it by the pharmacological / chemistry pros here to see if what I'm doing is dangerous. Any and all advice is welcome.

If I get good feedback, I'll continue to post my formulations, pictures and try to answer any questions regarding my protocol, etc. I think people may be interested in my journey and my experimentation. Hopefully I can give back, and not just seek advice.

So far I've been making good progress over the last 3 months, testing different things out. This new batch is just the next experiment, and it may be a bad one -- which is why I'm running it by the pros here.

Questions:

See the the sections below, which covers my ingredients and how I'm putting them together. I'm mostly worried about the addition of DMI and DMSO as solvents/absorbers, especially the DMSO given its unique properties.

1. Will the DMSO/DMI I'm adding cause the ingredients of Spectral.DNC-N (nanoxidil) solution to go systemic? Or am I using safe levels?

2. Notice the ingredients of the Spectral bottle (linked below) -- it contains "fragrance" and possibly other chemicals I have to be scared of DMSO absorbing into my skin. Does it look like I'm relatively safe given the ingredients?

3. Is the addition of DMSO/DMI theoretically improving the medicinal qualities of the compounds I'm using or am I chasing a red herring?

4. See my New Batch Creation Process. Anything stupid/wrong with it?

5. Since I can afford DMI, should I just avoid DMSO altogether? What about using MSM instead of DMSO? I wanted to use DMSO because of its unique absorption properties (its hardcore sh*t), but now I feel I did something stupid/dangerous -- but maybe I didn't. That's why I'm checking here.

6. If my DMI/DMSO levels are considered safe based on feedback, would anyone suggest I increase them higher? What upper limits of DMSO should I consider safe?

New Batch Creation Process:

1. Start with a 60 ml Spectral.DNC-N bottle:

2. Drop about 3 ml of DMI and 0.6 ml of DMSO in a safe glass. Drop about 10 ml of Spectral solution in that glass for added water. This is my solvent glass.

3. Scoop 1.5 g of r45581 into solvent glass, then 3 mg of dutasteride, mix it. Then add 3 g CoQ10 to it and mix it. Then add 5 grams of 0.1% tretinoin cream to it and mix further. Shake up very thoroughly and keep in refrigerated over night to let the particles better dissolve.

4. The next day, add mostly dissolved solvent glass to main solution in a safe amber spray bottle.

New Batch Formulation, Math and Ratios:
  • 1 ml nanoxidil bottle (Spectral.DNC-N):
  • 5 grams of 0.1% tretinoin cream per 60 ml mino bottle (0.01% tretinoin per volume) - drug
  • 1.5 g of ru58841 per 60 ml nano bottle (50 mg RU per 2 ml mino dose), dissolved in solvent before addition to Spectral bottle - drug
  • 3 mg of dutasteride per 60 ml nano bottle (0.1 mg duta per 2 ml of mino), dissolved in solvent before addition to Spectral bottle - drug
  • 3 g CoQ10 dissolved in solvent
  • 3 ml of DMI per 60 ml nano bottle (5% DMI), solvent/absorption
  • 0.6 ml of DMSO per 60 ml nano bottle (1% DMSO), solvent/absorption

Protocol:

- At night, micro needling with a nano cartridge before before application of solutions, 3-4 times a week.
- Once every 7 days, micro needling with a 36-pin cartridge at 1.5 mm with no application of solution afterwards that night. The day after using the 36-pin, avoid micro needling to give my scalp a chance to heal.
- At night after application of solution, spray/mist pure aloe vera juice on area where solution was applied. Enter near infrared light sauna for 15 mins.
- Heathy diet, HIIT exercise 4-5 times a week, and supplementation. Lots of protein. Try to get sleep.

More Info:
- I'm 41 years old.
- I work sitting in front of a computer at home
- In my mid-20s I tested minoxidil and oral finasteride. I didn't respond to either except losing more of my hair and shedding.
- I'm natty, but I may experiment with responsible PEDs/HRT once I achieve near-peak natty, which will probably be in a few months. Also, I wanna grow my hair back first.

Since I'm a new poster, it appears I have limited restrictions. It would not let me include links in my above post. So I'm attempting to include attachments.

FYI - I think my best results were basically from the following, which was mainly what I was doing for first 2 months:

1. ru58841 in a pre-created solution. I've tried a KG and PG solution from anageninc.com and science.bio.
2. At this time I was using Kirkland minoxidil with a dropper.
3. I added Setiprirant powder to it, and I'm not sure if it increased the effect, but I felt my allergies were better at night. I'm interested in experimenting with Seti some more and I have some more on order.
4. Also micro needling and doing NIR per the above protocol.
5. I was also creating custom cosmetics (using essential oils, aloe, etc) at the time with DMI/DMSO in them, that were all natural. My gut tells me this is the best use of DMI/DMSO.
