Alright guys i am twenty years old and have been having hair loss for about 4 months. I want to try propecia but am obviously worried about some of the side effects? Can you all give me advice on a regimen including things like starting out maybe at half a pill? And if side effects do occur involving the sexual stuff is it stupid to continue and risk permanent side effects? Thank you so much and please try to lend me as much advice as possible.

I'd see a hair loss doctor and have him prescribe Propecia for you. The side effects go away over time for most people, and if they don't you have to make a choice, deal with the sides or lose your hair. One half a pill sounds like a smart way to start.

i am not able to show pictures right now but my hairline is fine but i am thinning in the vertex pretty quickly and my hairs that are on my vertex are very wispy. I already got prescribed propecia from a derma but i am just hesitant and i think my loss very well could have been triggered from 5 months of accutane.

Well has you hair loss stopped since you stopped Accutane? Is there male pattern baldness in your family? Hope is not a strategy that works when fighting hairloss, if you're losing you take action or you lose your hair.

Hair loss has not stopped since accutane. Some sources say it takes a while but it has been exactly six months since i got off of accutane. Thinning on the vertex for sure but possibly in all areas but not really noticeable besides vertex. Have not tried anything yet. Any advice for any who had hair loss after accutane?

Since you are young, and your hair loss is sudden, you are the optimal patient for minoxidil (that is rogaine). Stops hairloss in 4 out of 5 patients. Regrowth in a little over 50%.
Try that first for at least 6 month, THEN consider finasteride. At least, that's my advice.

Combine with nizoral shampoo for even better results (and cleaner scalp).
