Hey guys, I will have been on Propecia (0.5mg/day) for 6 months October 2. My problem area is the whole front.....which is receding and thinning. My shedding continues and it's concerning me soo much. The part that is shedding is the problem area and it has been thinning a lot with all the shedding. When I brush from my forhead up through just the front I get soo much fall out. When I brush the back I only brush around 5+ hairs, which is what seems normal. The shedding has been going on for almost 3 months.

I have noticed some of the shedded hair cycling back in, but while they're pigmented....they are very thin, which is scary because I've been shedding soo many thick long hairs. My hair continues to thin and recede.

What I'm thinking about is what I should do. I've heard about people shedding until they add other stuff...like spironolactone. I just added folligen this week...I think it compliments propecia well. I was hoping to hold off on minoxidil and just thicken up what I had on propecia...but that doesn't seem to be happening.

Please help me out!

Joe,

I would go up to a 1mg does of Finasteride first off. Second, I'm thinking about adding spironolactone to my frontal area too... so keep me posted if that works for you.l

Joe,I'm going through the same thing as you. The other day I thought just maybe it was slowing but it's not the case. You should up your dose amount though....that's just what I think. Keep me updated on the folligen though. If it works for you,I'll definetly give it a shot.

Hey

Timmerman, I'm not so sure we are exactly in the same boat. You're only at 3 months and I'm coming up on 6 months. I've tried to contact HairLossTalk.com, but I can't seem to get a reply. I'm not sure if upping my dose is the right thing to do at this point. Or adding other stuff. I was really hoping to hear from HairLossTalk.com or some really experience peoples.

You should up your dose amount though

Have you even read any damn studies? Upping the dose ain't gonna do sh*t!

Now joe, i'm not gonna tell you again, stop worrying, and getting frustrated, and depressed and wasting time...MINOXIDIL!!!

Only a fool, or someone who has adverse reactions to it, would not add some form of minoxidil to their regimen!

I was hoping to hold off on minoxidil

Why in gods name???????

It's like trying to trying to teach a brick wall algebra, WASTE OF TIME!

PROVE ME WRONG
