Hi, I live in La and I want to start using propecia and maybe more based on a doctor's advise. My hairline has receded and is thinning on the front. I looked for doctors from this site but they certainly have a lot of numbers for places that are only interested in hair transplants. Where should I go for a truly good dermatologist or md that will look at my hairloss and give me the right prescription in the Los Angeles or surrounding area? Recently I got a blood test for thyroid dysfunction and other stuff and the only thing they found was some low sugar/glucose so I know it's nothing else which is why I'm ready for propecia. I am a little worried about the potential breast side effect (who gets that anyway?) thing and sexual side effects, but Ive decided its more important for me to keep my hair and folicles alive as in maybe a decade stem cell and hair multiplication will be available for me. So where should I go to get this prescription? I have to pay for the appointment without insurance as I am between carriers right now if that matters.

It's far cheaper to just buy it on the internet...

I've been using these for the last 4 months and they seem to be working very well indeed, am seeing noticeable regrowth at the crown and at the front... the quality of my hair is a lot better too:

You will need to split them into quarters or fifths, but a pill cutter shouldn't cost much from the local pharmacy.

HTH you :)

Dr Lee (minoxidil.com) has an office in Whittier, although I don't know where that is in relation to LA. It's only 20 bucks for an in office consultation with his partner Dr Clifford and he'll prescribe 5mg finasteride and any follow up visits if you wish to see him are only 10 buck.
