So basically i started receding 3 years ago, went from norwood 0 to norwood ~3ish in those 3 years, it wouldnt be too bad if it wasnt combined with extreme diffuse thinning on top.
I have no explanation why it happens and why it was triggered.
Problem is that i jumped on finasteride and it gave me sides that were incompatible with carrying on with it. (gyno, rubber dick, depressive mood, apathy)
Now only option i have left is to try minoxidil, however i have couple of questions.
From my personal experience, even considering i always wore middle length hair, getting any products to the scalp without completely smearing your hair was impossible. So how does one apply minoxidil to your scalp without making your entire hair wet with it? If you apply it twice a day it will look like you geled your hair?
If i start using minoxidil, and then i have to discontinue for whatever reason (some bad sides appear), shed which i kickstarted with beggining of minoxidil usage will contunue, right?
How bad is the shed usually? Im at the point now, where you nearly can see my scalp through hair in normal state. Im working in company in position, which requires to look good, im afraid if i start using minoxidil, initial shed will make me bald for several months. On the other hand if i dont start, i will become bald permanent i guess..
Also, what brand would you guys advise to purchase and in which form? (foam/liquid)
Would appreaciate if any experienced long term minoxidil users would give share their opinions.
