First, sorry for spamming the forum lately. I'm new.

Anyway ... I thought this was very interesting.

I picked up a very difficult bacterial infection in my scalp from a combination of shaving my head and doing Brazilian Jujitsu. The only thing that keeps it at bay is this cream called Neomycin Betamethasone.

As I have started a regime for hair-loss treatment, I wanted to know if this would interact or hinder my progress. To my absolute surprise (and I'm quite happy about it actually), this is a side-effect that is mentioned wherever I look it up:

  • Excessive hair growth (hypertrichosis).

Well ... that would be welcome.

I've only being rubbing it around the back of my head and neckline, which is where the infection most often occurs. Maybe I should experiment just rubbing this stuff all over my head?

P.S. ... after reading a bit more about it, a more common side-effect is "inflammation of the hair follicle". So probably I shouldn't. Weird as that's exactly what it's prescribed to prevent.

Anyway, probably nothing but still a little bit interesting.
