Hello.
SO Nettle tea is apparently a decent DHT blocker - I'm starting to drink a couple of cups a day (hey I actually really enjoy the taste, nice and soothing. Always been a fan of herbal teas even before hair loss matters). I'm not expecting any miracles, or really any improvement of any kind. But even a tiny slither of difference is welcome right? Every little helps.
To follow through this nettle/DHT logic:
Has anyone tried applying nettles... topically?
I bought a bag of dried nettles via a herbal specialist store online. My plan is to - after my shampoo regiment - let the nettles brew for 15 mins or so in a big mixer of warm water, strain the leaves, and pour it over my head (so the last thing I do in my shower routine).
I got the idea from a forum somewhere, but can't for the life of me remember where.
I've done this 2/3 times so far, and feel thoroughly odd performing it. But my scalp kind of feels nice after, in a subtle way.
Anyways, has anyone attempted this? Or would applying it topically in practice actually be a terrible idea, and could it end up stripping away hair and being a negative?
