I joined the male pattern baldness club at age 36 with loss at front area only.
I just started 1mg propecia today.
I had considered a hair transplants. What turned me off with a hair transplant is the thought of a scar in the back of your head for life. That means I can never shave it all off. The thoughts of a blotched job didnt help either along with the high prices. I am on propecia just to keep what I have.
I hope it works and I will now go with spikey hair so the front thin areas does not stick out as much.
As for shedding, I have already braced myself for the fight and hope to have stronger resolve than my previous efforts which involved saw palmetto and rogaine. I quit both of them because of shedding. However I think I have to stick to propecia throught the early shed stages as it really is my last hope outside of a hair transplant.
Wish me luck fellas.
