Hi guys.

I started noticing thinning on my crown around age 24. I’m now 31 and it has progressed to what I think is a diffuse thinning all over - especially the temples. I’ve added pics of today.

I’ve had a quote for a transplant, they think 3750-4000 grafts will be enough for me. The company who quoted me did my mates and his has worked well!

I will not take finasteride - but am considering starting using regaine foam now and having the procedure around October / November. Will this be ok?

Any advice welcome I’m a bit nervous as to how best go about this!

Thanks

Minoxidil plus tretinoin plus cetirizine every night ( 5 % for Mino, 0.025 % for treti , 1 % for ceti ) . Shampoo Ketoconazole 2% every day, leave it for at least 10 minutes before wash it . Check results with photos after 6 month . Then you can add ( not replace ) spironolactone 5 % cream ( after the lotion ).
diffuse thinning in general get amazing results

You have a lot of hair.. A hair transplant will destroy some of your growing, albeit thinning crown & frontal hair. They will transplant right over those hairs & kill them for the most part. You still have density. I can’t see your hairline, but it’s the first thing they’ll do. I see your concerns—the spots that are the major problem. With what I know now, I would hold off & try to thicken those problems areas. Unfortunately the typical advice found on these forums don’t work well.
A transplant will initially look better, but even transplanted hair can thin & bald.
I would start with Duasteride topical on scalp. You can mix in minoxidil, even Estadiol in it. Apply just to scalp. I’ve experimented w) hundreds of different combinations. Duasteride is pretty cheap. I order 8 bottles at a time. This in & of itself isn’t the cure, but research indicates males have to lower DHT in scalp. Women hardly have this problem. There are other things that have efficacy. I agree w) microneedling, but again in & of itself not enough..
