hey n1kk6,

I swapped out my 5% for Xandrox 15 a few months back and can only tell you the following: Way too early to determine true results, but I've seen lots of what appear to be vellus hairs (where my hairline used to be). From my temple recessions, down and straight across. Whether or not these will manifest (sorry aout the terminoligy) remains to be seen. I have recently (last 2 weeks) noticed some terminal hairs in the hairline area also, but nothing drastic (10-20 maybe)..

Now on a down note.... I apply at night (usually around 9-10PM) and in the morning, my head is still sticky. I'm guessing that most of the minoxidil is being absorbed, but it does make for some messy pillows and just a low comfort level at times.

Sorry I cound't be more help, but honestly, I think I'm going to make the 12.5 switch as soon as it's available myself. I feel as though I've made gains, but would like a little more user-friendly solution.

Is it a good idea to get directly to minoxidil 12.5 or xandrox 15?

is it not better to stay some years on minoxidil 5% regular formula, and when we feel it starts losing it's effectiveness, jump into a higher dose?

What do you think?

Why not just start at the highest, most effective dose from the very beginning?

Bryan,
I thought that 12.5% or xandrox 15 may not be better than regular minoxidil In fact what do we do if they are less effective than the regular minoxidil (no studies)?

Well, that's an important issue, too! I was just thinking from a theoretical standpoint; I was assuming for the sake of argument that those higher percentage products ARE proportionately more effective. If they were (which I tend to doubt), why not start with the very best from the beginning?

can this 12.5% minoxidil be dry for 15 min like xandrox or we need 1h+ waiting to be dry???
