Hi I've been on dutasteride. for 6 months, got brillant regrowth in crown, now going to add minoxidil 5% with retin A.
I have been wondering about various methods of applying the minoxidil to the scalp, I am not bald or very thinned on the areas I want to apply it, so it won't be easy making partings and dropping it in. So I've made this thread to collate methods of application other folk might be using, I've had a few ideas.
1) Soaking the minoxidil in a cotton bud and rubbing it down a parting line. Doing this on 7 different partings on top of head.
2) Is there such a device whereby it consists of several hollow tubes with a base on top the minoxidil could flow down several thin hollow needle like prongs that are placed on various parts of the head in one device. I've drawn such an object.
It could be made of glass or perspex, gravity will aid it's journey. This is probably the worst idea ever...but I've smoked sheesha and I'm sleep deprived....again.
3) What about a special comb which has hollow teeth, so that a topical solution can be used to distribute the minoxidil evenly throughout the scalp.
4) What about a minoxidil shampoo with that foam technology, absorbed whilst you shower! Like a minoxidil-nizoral combined shampoo.
5) What about minoxidil combined into a hair STYLING product, like a wax, this could be like a morning dose, and normal minoxidil can be used at night, this way you get minoxidil in wax throughout the day.
6) They should put minoxidil in the water supply, and throw in some keto, finasteride and other stuff so that the very stuff we use for a shower is pro-hair. But only in one city where only bald men are allowed to live.
7) I need to stop staying up late and getting intoxicated.
