Although this was tried on people with alopecia areata, I wonder if this particular experiment could work on people with Androgenetic Alopecia, since it was a method which isolate, cultured, multiplied, and injected stem cells, rather than one which simply suppressed the immune system.

F****** hell, wow. I can't even imagine being part of an experiment like that and getting so much regrowth in such a short time? It would be unreal.

But, that's AA of course. We still wait for the day we see something like this for Androgenetic Alopecia. Still must be awesome for those people.

It's just a matter of time I guess.

Imagine feeling normal again, I can't imagine me having hair with thick density again. I wish we could interview these people to see how they feel and what it was like before.

Surprise! It's a woman.

Men don't deserve attention to health.

But see, I am not so sure that this method would not work on people with Androgenetic Alopecia as well. This wasn't some kind of immunosuppressant that stopped the immune system from attacking healthy hair follicles. Instead, it was a stem cell method that apparently created healthy hair-producing stem cells. So in theory, I am not sure why this would not work on people with Androgenetic Alopecia too.

It might, it might not. It doesn't matter much unless someone tries it.

Calm down, it was just an example patient, could have very well been a man instead. I don't get why you feel the need to play the "nobody cares about men's health"-card at every chance you get.

Any new news on replicel? Is it going to be on the market in 2018?

I wish they would show us how much regrowth the participants in the trial have by now.

But this is very different from Replicel and has achieved infinitely better results. They should try THIS on more people since it is apparently proven to work.

Contact the author of the paper:

yzhao@hackensackUMC.org

I'm one step ahead of you, hellouser. I did that right after I posted this except I typically got no response. Maybe I'll try again from another e-mail address. FYI, I also contacted Brett King from Yale since I live within a reasonable driving distance but I got no response either. I am definitely gonna try him again though because I've read on other message boards that he really seems compassionate and dedicated to discovering better treatments for hair loss.

Dr. Brett King doesn't care. I've tried contacting him SEVERAL times; he has no interest in helping the 95% of hair loss sufferers with Androgenetic Alopecia. Apparently, priority is given to the minority.
