In my never-ending quest to find the perfect hair styling product, I recently came across a product that I that some of you guys might be interested in. The product is called David Babaii Volcanic Ash Sculpting Clay and it just came out within the last couple weeks or so. I've used just about everything out there and for thickening this stuff is every bit as good as (if not better than) Garnier Fructis Surf Hair and got2b Chaotic Putty. It really thickens up your hair. I was actually shocked at how much thicker my hair looked when I used it - it didn't clump my hair together and I couldn't see my scalp at all. It definitely gives your hair a matte finish though so if any of you guys like the wet-look, this product is not for you. I applied it to my hair when it was totally dry like I do with all of my hair products, so I can't really comment on how it works with wet or towel-dried hair. I'm sure someone here will try it that way though.

Anyway, I know you can get it at drugstore.com (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod. ... ST-0-BRAND) but I'm not sure where else you can get it. It's more expensive than those other products I mentioned but you get a good amount for your money and it seems to be a high-quality product.

Also, I have absolutely nothing to do with this company or anything like that - I just tried a product that works well and thought I would share my experiences with everyone here. Hopefully anyone else who tries it will do the same (good or bad). Good luck!!!

Thanks for the post. I've always felt that a good shampoo/conditioner and styling product are every bit as the regrowth products since you can get the appearance of much more regrowth with the right shampoos, conditioners, and styling products too!

How do you compare this volcanic ash stuff to the Got2Be chaotic? I'm using the latter right now and this is probably the best stuff I've used so far. I like the Got2B better than the Crew Fiber. Though once in a while the Chaotic Putty leaves the hair with a spongy look/feel if that makes sense.

What difference do you see with this newer stuff compared to the Putty? I'll probably try this volcanic ash next.

I actually can't use this stuff because it makes my hair too thick if you can believe that. I think it would be perfect if my hair was thinner but it's actually decently thick even though it's receding. I decided to post about it because the thickening effect was so dramatic.

I was not a fan of the Chaotic Putty. It made my hair look grey and poofy and it was impossible to wash out. This stuff smells better, thickens better and washes right out. I'm not sure how much hair you need to have in order for this product to work for you but if you like Chaotic Putty or Surf Hair, you should absolutely give this stuff a try.
