I just started using 5%Minoxidil topical solution ( 3 weeks now). My hair is brown on top and has been thinning over the last couple of years. Since using Minoxidil, I have noticed that my hair is turning very light and almost blond where I have applied the Minoxidil. Is this normal? Is this part of the shedding phase? The rest of my hair is dark brown and it looks like I’m using a hair lightener and my hair is two tones of color. Any suggestions on keeping my hair color the same without dying it? Will the new hairs come back brown? Thx.

That’s what I understood also that Minoxidil turns your hair darker, but in my case it’s getting lighter.Usually minoxidil makes the hair darker, not lighter.
