I have a question about applying minoxidil. The average person generally has a certain place say around the crown of their head that they will apply the whole 1 ML to. Well my hair is just plain thin all over. Would I have to use more than one milliliter to place it over the whole surface of my scalp? because from what I understand that 1 milliliter is supposed to be concentrated on one spot, so wouldn't it be less effective if I were to use only one milliliter to spread out over the whole area of my large melon?

Try to keep it within the dosage range, putting on too much can cause systematic sides. You do not need to soak your head.

I was wondering the same thing, then I read somewhere that you do not need to cover every part of the head as it would actually "spread" below the skin by itself. Not sure if this is true or not, but I had the same question on my mind, I wanted to cover the temples as well as basically the whole front up to about half my scalp. I'm able to spread it tho but not sure if it will have the same effect as the whole 1ml concentrated on one spot only.

Could somebody using it on several spots or spreading it "all" over could give us an answer if it still seems to work?

I only apply it to my frontal area despite the fact that I'm thinning a bit all over, I'm hoping that the finasteride will maintain and maybe regrow some around the back. I'd imagine that you'd have to apply it to the whole area that needs improvement, this would probably required a slightly larger dosage of foam.

I manage to make a ML go pretty far. I use it from my hairline to vertex, basically the entire top of my head. The foam spreads pretty well. Growth had been good too.

hmm...i bet having a shaved head would help too..i noticed that when my hair is shorter it seems to spread out a lot over my scalp.....i think Ill start out trying to use just 1 mil to cover my whole scalp and if I don't have much progress ill have to try a little more...thanks for the advice guys you've been a lot of help.
