New user here, over 20 years on Minoxidil and finasteride. Anyone have experience with IPRF?

I'm a new user on here. I started notice a slight thinning at the age of 24 towards the front left temple. I've been using Min since the age of 24 and finasteride since the age of 28. I'm now 50. I've managed to keep pretty much all my hair since this regime. In the last few months I've noticed the left temple become slightly worst. I was a little bit lazy over the last year mainly with min so that could be it.

I decided to go with my first session of IPRF. So far its been a week so can't report anything. I'm planning on going once every 3 weeks for 4 sessions, Then maintenance every 3 months. Has anyone had any success or adverse effects with IPRF?

I did a lot of research before going for IPRF. My understanding is the problem with PRP is it is extremely hard to make as compared to IPRF which is a much easier process to produce. I think the reason why so many people don't have success with PRP as a treatment is because of poor technique in the production as people dont know what they are doing and its all about $$$. IPRF is a much simpler procedure to produce and has apparently 4 to 5 times the concentration of PRP.

Given the aforementioned concerns (which I agree with) about PRP what exactly convinced you to go forward with IPRF? I’d imagine some of the same issues would apply.

Have you experienced no recession/loss/reduction in hair quality at all in the 22 years you’ve been on Finasteride? What’s your family history of hairloss? Did you ever take breaks from Finasteride?

What are your concerns with PRP? I went with IPRF after a few days of research. PRP is very hard to make and get it right as they need to add additives and there are questions of a double spin which I doubt most clinics do or even get the one spin method right from what I've read making it effectively snake oil. IPRF is quite a simple procedure to make. Blood is drawn and placed in a centrifuge at low spin speeds of 700RPM for 4 to 5 minutes. The result is IPRF on the top. Its relatively easy to make compared to PRP and is the new standard apparently. There are only a handful of studies though in regards to IPRF, but it looks promising especially because it is 4 to 5 times more concentrated than PRP and the simple preparation.

I've never had a break in Finastride or suffered really any sides. I have been a little slack the last year especially with minoxodil. I've noticed in the last 2 months after keeping stable for 22 years at the age of 50 a slight regression and thinning which is slightly noticeable probably just to me. It lead me to come to this forum and been researching IPRF, microneedling and other possiblilities. Microneedling I'm going to try at a low depth of 0.6 to 08mm bi weekly from what I've read. I'm hoping I can stabilise.

Any other suggestions?

I'm very new to all of this an only dived back in after 20 odd years.

Thanks!
