i was just wondering what my best treatment would be. im 27 with some balding. i have hair but it is thinner than the sides and recieding. allthough I have shaved my head to the skin for 2 years. basically its the crown and thats it. Now can i take propecia and rogain when shaving my head? does no name stuff work the same (equate)? how much should i be thinking of paying for good results a month aprox? I am in London Ontario by the way in case costs or supply is not the same as usa. Thanks i hope i can get some help here.

finasteride (propecia, proscar, etc) is a must for everyone with male pattern baldness. if u shave your head to the skin id also recommend the scalp exercises below which r great for ur hair and make your face muscles look tighter and younger!

You may just want to start with Propecia (finasteride) first. It is easy to take and may very well get you the results you want. On the other hand rogaine is a very demanding topical which for some people may be inconvenient to use. It can leave hair greasy or irritate the scalp. I suggest taking the finasteride and then if your not satisfied add in the minoxidil.

Propecia is about $60/ month but the generics are much cheaper. The minoxidil is also inexpensive and can be found online or at convenience stores for less than $30/month.

Try around 70 a year. Sams sells 4 month supplies for $24 last I checked.

Buy Proscar or generic proscar and split it in 4ths with a sharp knife or a pill cutter

If you shave your head it would be very easy to apply minoxidil. I would definetely go with the big three (Nizoral shampoo, finasteride and minoxidil).
