I'm in my mid-20's and have noticed my hair getting thinner for about 4 years, now I'm ready to do something about it. My hair is thining all over, I don't have a receding hair line.

1. Do i need to see a doctor to get evaluated, or can I just start on my own regimen? Should I see a doctor? What kind of doctor?

2. What should I start on? Minoxodil w/ a good shampoo? Not sure if I should jump right into Propecia.

3. Also, how should I care for my hair as far as washing and drying it?

What are the side effect of Propecia. I've heard reduced sexual desire, and heart problems. What else?

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

To hell with doctors

Finasterise - 1mg/evert other day
Minoxidil 5%- 2x per day
Nizoral 2%- 3 x per week

Heart problems are not Finasteride related. That's a rare minoxidil side effect.

Some side:

Decreased Libido

Impotence

Gyno (man breasts)

Some people say they get flabby, but I chalk that up to standard hair loss site lack of accountability, ego, and bitching.
