Nipple Itching, Tingling Cause For Concern?

I am on .25mg finasteride every day. Of course, I read about complications and side effects. I just noticed that my nipple once or twice during the day was itchy or tingly. I can't see any puffiness or gynecomastia starting. Should I stop it? My chest looks the exact same as it did unless I'm failing to observe something. I'm a bit concerned. Of course, this could be all in my head, but it did itch out of the blue. This only lasted 30 seconds or so and has not been persistent.

Hey man, I am not a finasteride user as I haven't concluded (at least yet) that I am ready to risk the onset of such crazy sides that I am less prone to bear than others. But wanted to let you know that once in a while I too have a nipple itch so in your case it might necessary mean that it is from fina. The only thing I use every once in a while is Nizoral (that is closer/similar to and anti-androgen). What I'm trying to say is that it's this nipple itch can occur with or without fina. But because it is a somewhat common occurrence on this treatment you should probably keep an eye on it and maybe even consult a specialist. In the mean time you might one a keep a photo diary (because it is hard to keep track just from the memory) as well as maybe measure the radius of your torso in the nipples area so you can see if any significant changes in measurement occur. I know it's not the most helpful advice out there but maybe it helps...

no. it was pretty helpful. gyno is one of the reasons i never got on the juice when i was into lifting. My friend got gyno from it, so he told me what to look out for. the major thing is puffiness when it's warm and relaxed. However, in these cold new england winters, it's tough to find a time when your nipple isn't cold and hard. lol

I was extremely hesitant to jump on the finasteride. However, while I don't dismiss many of people's experience on finasteride, I do think the side effects are exaggerated, unlikely, and in a few instances, made up. However, I still do have fears.

It is is normal and healthy to pay attention to the possible sides, but if you really are getting gyno it will be obvious at a point what is happening. It wont just go away quickly.
I had breast tenderness or itching before and I never touched finasteride! I dont remember it happening ever since many years ago. The thing is strange things like this honestly can just happen. No idea why but it might be nothing

usually it's puberty, steroids, or some hormonal imbalance that cause it.

Plus all these: Anti-anxiety medications, such as diazepam (Valium); Tricyclic antidepressants, Antibiotics; Ulcer medications, such as cimetidine; Gastric motility medications, such as metoclopramid; Alcohol, Amphetamines, Heroin, Methadone etc.

Maybe but I dont remember it ever happening again so I guess my hormones balanced themselves out. I wasnt on any drugs or supplements it was in college. The point is strange little things like this can happen regardless of what your taking, but I do agree you should pay more attention while on it.

Yeah, I really don't know what to say. Some testimonials seem very sincere. Please keep us posted with how you progress.

Thanks. I will keep you posted. However, I am taking only .25mg finasteride so it's not full dose. But even at this small amount it is around 50% as effective at reducing dht so I assume it is around 50% less likely to have side effects or the side effects will be 50% less severe.
