Nizoral and Decreased Testosterone

Hi guys.. New to the site and of course finding out about Nizoral as that is recommened on the 'Start Here' page...

I mentioned in another post I am weary, as I am only reading about shedding going on... I also see its used by a lot of guys using Finasteride.. And I plan on not using Finasteride...

So, on a reported study on Wikipedia, they talk about how it decreases testosterone...

Is this just if it is taken as an oral pill.. And not as a topical shampoo? .. And of course the big question is its effect on libido and so on...

orally it might decreas test but i doubt topically.

Ketoconazole as an antiandrogen only works orally, in great quantities. But forget about it, it would supress all of you androgens, not only dht. The side effects would be waaay worse than finasteride. Stick to the shampoo, it works because of it's anti-inflamatory properties.

i was thinking this same thing.. i am glad to hear it sounds like topically this stuff wont interfere with testosterone..

well take it from me, fact is finasteride reduced my T levels by about half.
Since stopping finasteride and using nizoral right around the same time by T levels have been going up (been monitoring) so I would say the 5 minutes its on your head does little to nothing against your T.
