Has anyone heard of Nizoral causing sides? Specifically, gynocomastia? Wiki article on gynocomastia lists the active ingredient in Nizoral shampoo ( ketoconazole) as a known drug which causes gynocomastia. Crazy,....

Not sure why you posted about Nizoral in "Concealers & Styling Products", but I'm fairly certain that the gyno side effect of keto is from oral (not topical) use. That said, Nizoral has been awful for me - I experienced extreme libido problems after I started using it. I can now only get it up after watching an unhealthy amount of murder p**rn.

That's pretty interesting. I'll probably get a lot of hate for saying this but I'm 31 and have done finasteride/min/ephedrine/wellbutrin/various SSRIs and anxiety meds..other pills I won't even mention and I'm impervious to sexual dysfunction. SSRIs made me superman.

That's pretty lucky to have no sexual dysfunction. And I was kidding about the libido problems after starting Nizoral - I've had zero side effects.

No more sarcasm, I promise. I hope all my other posts in the forum about the positive side effects I've experienced due to finasteride (which were not sarcastic) has made you more likely to take it.

This ketoconazole stuff is evidently not so safe in oral form..it is contraindicated in people taking omeprazole. I'd have been dead years ago without omeprazole and other proton pump inhibitors for gerd. I guess the shampoo is fine though.

Yeah, agreed, keto is known to have wacky side effects when taken orally. I would opt for a topical treatment.
