Nizoral - How many times a week?

Hi,

Been thinking whether the once a week i now use it is enough. Best way for me and maybe others to get some perspective is if my fellow posters would chip in with how many times you use the pink stuff a week and how long you have been using Nizoral.

As i have been using it for over two years i rationalised that once a week would be sufficient, but now i'm not so sure, so, you reckon you could help a brother in need? Thanks

Every other day rotating with a coal tar shampoo been using Nizoral for about 4 months was twice a week but recently stepped it up to every other day.

I use it 2-3 times a week. Every now and then I have to take a break for a couple of weeks because it fries my hair when I use it too often.

I shampoo my hair with Nizoral 2% every other day...more or less. I apply beauty cream or folligen cream right away because it dries it a little bit. But....I have a suggestion for you all...I buy Nizoral cream 2% (requires a perscription) and because the amount is small, I mix it with a cheap moisturizing cream for hair in a 1:1 cuantaty (so it becomes 1% of nizoral) this is how my scalp get its nizoral all day long AND stays nice and good to feel!! I recommend it to all of you. The active ingrediant ketoconazole doesn't dry hair. It's the formulation of the shampoo which is harsh. Then I enjoy the formulation of the cream and this is how it stays for hours on my hair and even looks good!

I alternate between nizoral (+ sal, Dr. Lee's) and Nano shampoo for every morning.
In the evenings, some times I use Nano or loreal vive for men.

I'm going to start using it 3 times a week again. For a while i stopped because i dyed my hair pink and nizoral screws up the color.

With the theoretical notion that with chronic use Ketoconazoles' anti-fungal action may strip your scalps natural wildlife, I now use Sanex shower balm (with Lactoserum) on my non-Nizoral days, the Lactoserum stimulates natural skin flora and helps keep the skin healthy, it works great as a shampoo and I feel no need to condition after using it.

It is easy to remember which days to use Nizoral on if you step it up to 3 times a week, if the day has an 'N' in it use Nizoral. To further balance this system flip the rules for the weekend.

That´s the same tecnique I use for sex practice: I limit it to the days with an "Y" in them.
