Hi I want to treat dandruff and seb dermatitis. Ive been using this regimen
Day 1 :Nizoral 3 minutes
Day 2:pantene Pro -V Regular Shampoo (twice bctwo showers)
Day 3: Head and Shoulders 15 seconds (twice- bc of two showers)
Day 4: Pantene Pro-V Claryfing Shampoo (twice bc of two showers

Ive heard alot of people tout T-gel and T-Sal. Why? Which is better for seb derm and why? In relation to Head and Shoulders, is T-Sal or T-gel beter or worse? How long do you leave T-gel or T-sal in?

The coal tar, although this might sound crazy, it sounds a little scart to me to put anything called "tar" in the hair. It sounds like maybe it would be sticking to it or pulling it out or something. Sounds crazy I know but could someone explain to me what this coal tar is.

Does t-gel or t-sal have any negative side effects? Ive heard they cause cancer? What is the story with that? Why do people think that?

Finally, for someone who truly knows the answer to this, does dandruff cause hairloss? Ive read in alot of reputable medical journals and talked to dermatologists and all have said it does not. I keep seeing people stating that it does however. Anyone have any knowledge about this?

OK thank you. Marc

You should try whatever works best for you. Some people get better results with T-Sal or prefer it because they find it less harsh on the scalp. I personally prefer T-Gel because it's the only thing that stopped my scalp irritation (T-Sal did nothing for me).

As for side effects, the active ingredients in both T-Sal and T-Gel have been in use for decades and there are no significant side effects for either, as far as I know.

I leave T-Gel on for about 3 to 5 minutes. The only thing I don't like about it is the smell (because of the coal tar).
