(multiple) FUE's are probably the best option if you don't want to use hormonal poison and aren't balding extremely hard.

considering his very fine hair its indeed a crazy result


he is using oral minoxidil to support the healing process

Man I wish we could have stopped balding at like NW3 or 4, hell maybe even 5 wouldn't be that bad, then we could just get some transplants and be done with this sh*t. Instead some of us have to end up with some stupid NW7 with bad donor, and have to rely on drugs that might not even work that well just to maintain some balding head of hair. f*****g hell

id do it like this (a bit shorter without the hair ring)

but styling it back would not only display his hairlinr but add density to his weaker regions but maybe he is lazy or maybe product doesnt work well with transplanted hair idk

Wanted to try it a few times, would be a high class look if it works + add an illusion of density to the midscalp like you said

unless you had that with topical min (if you ever tried), i also think it is worth a shot... seems to help me and other people a lot (topical did nothing for me)...
