Some background info. I'm 20 years old everyone on my fathers side has hair and everyone on my mothers side is bald or going bald (males).
I noticed i was losing hair when i was 19 and went to some crack pot derm that looked at my hair for 2 seconds and told me to go on Porpecia.
I started it back in April and i saw an improvement in the amount of hair i lost in the shower. I got the the seventh month mark and noticed i was losing a ton of hair in the shower and had a really itchy/flaky scalp. I figured I was just shedding, but I went to derm to make sure
My derm told me i had some scalp problem ( I know I'm idiot for not remembering what it was called) but he gave me a Loprox, Olux, and Tar SS shampoos to rotate in and out everyweek. He told me to stop taking propecia because that was making it worse.
So after a 2 weeks of being on the shampoos and losing way less hair, should I go back on Propecia? Could my scalp problem have been the reason I was losing so much hair in the shower? Since i was 19 i always noticed that i would have pretty flaky dandruff.
Thanks guys
