my immune system doesn’t give a f*** about the titanium bolts in my jawbone. Why would it care about titanium sockets in my skull I can screw synthetic hair into?

At a guess id say saliva suppresses infection and or gum tissue creates a better seal around the the titanium as it would do naturally with enamel

For me hair is muuuuch more important than teeth. No idea why no one has found a cure yet.

I know this is a hairloss forum, but teeth > hair. Aesthetically speaking a guy with no teeth will look worse than a guy with no hair 100% of the time. If you lose all your teeth you will scare everyone around you every time you open your mouth unless you use dentures, and some years after losing them you will get the classical old man mouth that is caved inwards thanks to bone loss from the missing teeth which again aesthetically speaking would ruin your image more. Implants prevent that bone loss.

Obviously this is without even mentioning the fact that teeth have an important role in the eating process while your body can just as easily function without hair.

I would put dentures and forget it. We don't walk around with mouth open to show people our teeth. But hair. It's seen every second of the day. And if it isn't right then you will be treated like the ugly one irregardless of how good your face is. Unless in a few lucky baldies who look good bald.

Today we have very good options for bad teeth. Of course, depends on how much money you want to spend to have “natural“ looking new teeth.

With 30,000-40,000 $ your teeth will look very natural and awesome.

You will always have to talk if you are social, hence a lot of mouth opening. With that reasoning I can make the argument that you can just put a wig on and forget it. Also Dentures don't work for bone loss, only implants do. You will still get that caved in old man mouth with dentures which will be a drastical change in your appereance. Again not even talking of the importance of teeth in the eating process.

And good looking people will most probably still be good looking even bald, except rare cases with a big irregular head you will still be good looking. The few lucky baldies who look good bald are usually simply good looking. Hair gives options and can improve your overall appereance, but handsome people will be handsome people regardless of hair and hair won't make you brad pitt just like no hair won't magically transform you from a 10 to 5.

Ha believe it or not. I used to be so and so just a few years ago. People would tell me at college how handsome pla pla. And now.. not even three years later.. I'm having a hard time going in public.. people who didn't see me for a long time won't recognize me now. My face is the same it's just hair. For me ... teeth is absolutely nothing. Although I agree with you that dentures won't cut it lol. But I can have implants if I need that. But hair. What can you do?. can't imagine wearing a wig it's funny.

I’ve researched titanium threads and bolts and looked into body modifications for exactly this but it always let to problems... not easy with current tech yet

Each hair implant is mechanically connected at its base to a miniature anchor to guarantee an immediate secure fixation to the scalp (2.5 x stronger than natural hair).

So from this, I'm guessing each hair is part of a "graft" like with a hair transplant, and injected onto your scalp, and it doesn't shed or grow. Kinda awkward if you want shorter hair at some point but later decide to grow it, as your hair will be uneven. But if it works, it sounds better than SMP.

It sounds like they just glue stuff to your scalp and call it "implants" for marketing reasons.

@SuperDPAsteve was talking about titanium screws attached to your cranium -- probably too expensive, even if it works.

It doesn’t sound like glue to me - That’s just a fancy type of wig.

My sense is that they are implanting these.

Just keep it short / same length.

If this doesn’t have side effects I’d do it in a heart beat.

Sounds like a good way to get a granuloma
