Hey people. I just had a few questions. First. Which Norwood am I.

Also I’ve been taking finestride for about 4 months now. I’ve noticed little difference in my hair. Actually I feel like I lost more hair since I started. Idk if that’s just because of the shed stage. My family and I have also noticed that I’ve become a lot more depressed. I recently had a breakup which really fucked me up and my depression made it worse. I know finestride can cause depression, but I’m scared to get off of it.

When should I give up on finestride if there are no results? (Been taking 4 months)

What Norwood am I?

Will I lose More hair if I get off of it now?

Thank you

Finasteride is predominantly used to retain existing hair, so don't be surprised if the lost hair doesn't come back. There's no point in giving up with it if you want to keep as much hair as you can. Of course, some people respond to the drug better than others, but there's still a high chance it's benefiting you. You may feel like you've lost more hair because of your mental state. Psychological factors can definitely skew your perception of things, and I know when I've been feeling down my hair appears worse to me than when I am happier.

Lethargy is a common side effect. Plus decreased libido and you get a good cocktail for fullblown depression.

lethargy and decreased libido is certainly real, I can attest to both however I have my qualms when it comes to finasteride causing depression -- if anything I'm depressed because I didn't start sooner.
