One Month Mark

I've been on Propecia and Rogaine for one month now. Just started rotating T-Gel and Nizoral two weeks ago.

I have noticed no results? Should I be able to notice anything right now? I'm getting to the point where I'm still taking the pills and applying the Rogaine out of habit, but have given up on looking for any signs of regrowth.

Also, my scalp is still very itchy at times. How long does it take for the Nizoral / T-Gel to kick in so my scalp won't itch so much?

He's right. Don't hold your breath. Getting results from Propecia in one month is about as common as losing all your hair in one month.

If you are a good responder you should notice a nice change during month 4 and by month 5 it should be noticable to others as well. Getting into the habit with minoxidil is half the battle. Stick with it a full 12 months before you start to make judgements on continuing. I got lazy with minoxidil after it grew a substancial amount of hair back. I am paying for it now by having to restart. I almost felt I was to the point where I did not have male pattern baldness I was doing so well and then I slacked off and paid for it. Stick with it.

Haha, "one month mark" sounds like a guy who has trouble keeping a job!

And yeah, it's too soon to see anything. I responded quickly to minoxidil, seeing improvement at 2 months in. But you should give it at least 6 months. 'Pecia OTOH, for me, I was on it alone for 3 years before adding minoxidil and never knew how much it was doing/not doing. They say to give it a year, but since you're on minoxidil you likely won't be able to tell finasteride's effects. It is important for long-term maintenance though.
