Hello,

has anyone been successful with low minoxidil dosage?

similar results to topical use?

one question, dr sergio vano, put in his network something between 0.25mg - 1mg for women and 5mg for men, a big difference.

these dosages that are effective for women, aren't they effective for men?

They might be effective for men as well although notice that women don't go bald so aggressively as men, Male pattern baldness most of the time is much harder to fight than female hair loss. I was non-responder to topical and oral is working much better for me. You can start with 1 mg and if you dont have sides and you are happy with result then stay with 1 mg if not then increase the dose.

Men can get away with higher doses due to a higher tolerance of hypertrichosis

I am using 5 mg every day and I am using liquid minoxidil 5% orally (20 drops[at least in my dropper!!] = 1 ml=50 mg of minoxidil so 1 drop = 2,5 mg of minoxidil, I am using 1 drop at the morning and 1 at the evening but I think I will change to 2 drops at the evening or maybe even 1 drop in the evening only)
No sides effects, maybe a little bit of hairs between my beard and my eyes but they are barely visible and dont ge't bigger since I notice them. I am 3 months into using minoxidil and existing hairs on head looks thicker, hope I will get some regrowth also. Additional effect is that my beard is thicker and darker so I can trim it very shor and it looks awesome.

I used 5mg/day, I do have hypertrichosis to an extreme however I’m the only person who has this issue, and that’s due to my genetics and my use of bicalutamide.

5mg/day is a recommendable dosage, without a doubt.

the benefit of hair growth was greater than the side effect
negative of hypertrichosis?

so you can continue with oral minoxidil?

The benefit is much more significant, it has made the hypertrichosis worth it due to the benefits.
