I just ordered some finasteride but I saw a thread today saying that finasteride alters neurohormones.

since I already ordered finasteride what should I do?

has anyone (who've used finasteride for more than two years) experienced any neurological effects such as impaired cognitive thinking, memory loss, slow speech...etc?

any help is appreciated

I have definitely experienced what may describe as brain fog, my guess is that this side effect does stem from the decrease in neurosteroids.

is the brain fog persistent or does it come and go?

how long have you been on finasteride?

Been on finasteride for 3 years, and I don't believe that I've had a problem with brain fog. Also, from what I've read, brain fog goes away if you get it and stop talking finasteride.

Another thing...you are setting yourself up for side effects. You're going to take finasteride, and then freak out one day if you have trouble remembering someone's name. You won't take into account the fact that you only got 4 hours of sleep the night before, you will just freak out about finasteride sides.

Slow down, take a deep breath, and realize that you have a 98% chance of being fine, and you are more likely to get hit and killed by a car today than you are likely to suffer from long-term finasteride side effects.

It would come and go, it's hard to say exactly, it's one of those things that you might not notice at first, and then one day you realize you just aren't yourself anymore.
